AzSGS.org website redesign.
This was a redesign for a local genealogy society. They were looking for a more engaging website that would be useful to their members as well as being inviting and more intersting to potential members. They also needed a site that Non-technical members could not only navigate, but also update and maintain.
We built the site on the Wordpress Publishing platform, and the main page is a mixture of “posts” and “pages”. This allows for updates to be made quickly through the Wordpress WYSIWYG interface. Formatting, layout, and images are all handled inside the Wordpress software. We also installed and customized a phpBB installation to provide a dedicated online message system for the membership.
In addition to the Wordpress and the phpBB installation and configuration, we created custom graphics, adjusted templates to better reflect the overall theme, configured a society wide E-mail system and mail forwarders and trained key society members on general maintance and operation of the site. This was a total redesign of the site. Clients were provided with a turnkey site that was populated, search engine optimized, and ready for business.
